In 1999 the United Space Alliance Co. (USA) awarded to Data Voice the contract for integration, installation, and support of the Telemetry Digital Recording System (TDRS) used for the Record and Playback Subsystem (RPS) for NASA’s Space Transportation System (STS) at the Kennedy Space Center.

The TDRS is a high speed, high performance, mux/demux digital storage hardware configuration installed and maintained by Data Voice and is used by NASA for real-time data acquisition and processing. The system is comprised of multiple configurations of PC GUI controlled Aydin “LabArmor” 718 Multiplexers/Demultiplexers which interfaces with VHD Ampex broadband digital tape recorders and automated library arrays which are custom integrated to support the Space Shuttle and other government vehicle launches.
