In 1996, NASA awarded Data Voice a $2.5 Million contract to design, develop, and install an S/X-Band Satellite Ground Receiving Station at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi in support of NASA’s Small Spacecraft Technology Initiative (SSTI) Commercial Remote Sensing Program (CRSP).

Phase I involved a study to determine system requirements, site selection and survey, preliminary system design and system upgradability. Phase II of the contract included the 15-month production of the ground station as well as detail design, command and control and telemetry software development, system procurement, installation and test, system documentation, on-site training and a 2-year turn-key warranty.

This contract established Data Voice’s ability to manage large scale projects from design to implementation as well as the ability to coordinate and manage a diverse field of subcontractors and suppliers. DVILOGO.JPG - 6704 Bytes
